Act now: your garden is at risk

Your garden and public spaces are under threat

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re already an avid gardener or you simply love our public spaces and you’d prefer to keep them weed free.

Our right to enjoy weed free gardens, parks, driveways and pavements is under threat. The EU is reviewing your right to use glyphosate, a key ingredient in one of the most widely-used and effective weedkillers, and a final decision is expected by the end of 2017. There are some influential people and groups who would like to ensure it fails.

Glyphosate is the main active agent in many of the world’s most widely recognised domestic weedkillers and has been used safely for over 40 years. As part of the approval process the three EU scientific assessment bodies; the European Food Safety Authority, the European Chemicals Agency and Germany’s Federal Institute for Risk Assessment have raised no objections to the continued use of glyphosate.

What can you do to help?

Please let your representatives at local, national and European levels hear your concerns about the impact that banning glyphosate will have on you.
